MATH 120 - Math for Elementary and Middle School Teachers

EDUC 103. This course connects pre-service K-8 teachers to the topics and primary concepts in the K-8 curriculum. Students will develop “deep understanding” of the math in the K-8 curriculum. They will realize ways in which K-8 math forms the foundation for math learning in middle school and high school. Students will use the vocabulary of math to explain the concepts and procedures of the math they are reviewing and connecting to the math beyond elementary and middle school.
