EDUC 678 - Teacher Researcher Seminar CR: 3 Prerequisite: Only open to accepted M.A.T. students who have fulfilled all other requirements for licensure.
Prerequisite: EDUC 641 and EDUC 673
Corequisite: EDUC 677 , Teaching Internship. This seminar provides students an opportunity to integrate prior learning within their full-time experience student teaching. They will develop and apply data-driven decision-making. As appropriate, they will observe and experience the interaction of families and the school. They will finalize their ePortfolio to demonstrate their mastery of InTASC standards and be introduced to Virginia’s Guidelines for Uniform Performance Standards and Evaluations Criteria for Teachers. Students will study the foundations of public education in the U.S. They will explore the job search process. M.A.T. students will engage in the EDUC 673 research project they designed. They will present their findings to the Education Department at the college (students and faculty).
