At Sweet Briar, our business professors run their own businesses so what you learn in our classes isn’t just theory or second-hand knowledge. Business majors learn accounting, marketing, management, entrepreneurial thinking, and negotiation skills to create and run a successful business and thrive in the face of competition and challenges. Students will work in teams, create marketing and business plans, and develop and apply business skills in a supportive environment to succeed in the real world.

The following requirements are needed to complete the major in Business (35-37 hours):

For the major in business, the P/CR/NC grading option may not be exercised for any course which could count toward the major, with the exception of BUSN 261 , BUSN 361 , and BUSN 461 .
