The study of political science helps students to understand and analyze the complicated impacts of political forces on our daily lives. Students learn to think broadly and deeply about the impact of policies on people, markets, and institutions in our increasingly globalized world.

The following requirements are needed to complete the major in political science (36 hours):
Major Core
Complete all of the following courses (12 hours):
Political Science Electives
Choose four additional political science courses (12 hours):
Major Electives
Choose three additional courses from the following programs: Economics (ECON), History (HIST), and Philosophy (PHIL) (9 hours):
Senior Seminar
Generally taken in the last semester of the senior year (3 hours):
