On-Line Foreign Language Courses

Sweet Briar makes available online language courses in French, German and Spanish.  These classes are taught in Fall and Spring terms through a consortium of private colleges and universities at no additional expense to the student.  Classes are either 3 or 4 credits depending on the course. Students receive grades upon completion of each class and they count the same as all Sweet Briar courses.  They are not transfer credits.  Please contact Dr. Lynn Laufenberg in the History Department for placement testing or the Office of the Registrar for general information.  Other languages may be available to students on a case by case basis after consultation with Dr. Laufenberg.
