Engineering Program

Sweet Briar is one of two ABET-accredited engineering programs at women’s colleges. The Sweet Briar Bachelor of Science in engineering science is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, 111 Market Place, Suite 1050, Baltimore, Maryland 21202-4012, 410-347-7700.

Teacher Preparation Program

Sweet Briar’s teacher preparation program is accredited by the Virginia Department of Education. The educational programs (licensure areas) are approved by the Virginia Board of Education.
