AGRI 421 - Seminar: Leadership in Sustainable Agriculture and Food Systems

Pre-req: Permission of the Instructor. This seminar is designed for students who are juniors or seniors in the Leadership in Sustainable Agriculture and Food Systems certificate program. Students will work with faculty to invite leaders and practitioners in fields relevant to the certificate curriculum to participate either in discussions or workshops with the class or as speakers in the Food Systems Leadership Speaker Series, which will be open to the campus community and public. We anticipate that some of the class discussions and workshops will take place at farms, agribusiness, and other local venues. Students will also work on preparing written documents for job and grad school applications which reflect what they have learned in the certificate program.

This course will meet approximately once per month across all 15 weeks of both semesters of the school year.
